TRICK OR TREAT FOR TEMPLE STREET: As Halloween approaches, we will once again be encouraging the children (and staff too) to dress up on Friday October 27th. We plan to participate this year in the fundraising drive for Temple Street Hospital so a €1 or €2 donation would be very welcome on the day.
Thank you in advance and wishing all a Happy and Safe Halloween.
BOOK FAIR: This year's event runs from November 13th to 17th daily, in the school hall. Parents' Night will be Thursday November 16th.
FOOD DUDES PROGRAMME: This programme begins on November 16th and will run for 2 weeks. The objective is to encourage children to taste fruit and vegetables.
SKIPPING: The skipping initiative which has been running for the last few weeks with the first and second classes has proved to be a very popular P.E. based idea. The children have loved going out and raising their fitness levels. They have developed or improved a physical skill while participating in sport. To show off these new talents, a "skipathon" event took place at school on October 25th. See elsewhere on this site for some pictures of the day.

Ms. Marie O'Brien retired on September 30th last. Marie was a popular, vibrant and dedicated teacher who always wanted the best for her pupils. The BoM wish to thank her for 32 years of excellent service to our school and join with the whole school community in wishing her a happy and enjoyable retirement with Tommy, her husband. Marie was very touched by the numbers of pupils, parents and ex-pupils who called in to the school to wish her well in her retirement
