Active Week 2023
The children took part in Active Week from Monday 29th - 31st of May. The weather was fantastic and the children enjoyed participating in some very fun outdoor activities. On Monday, the first and second classes had Sports Day followed by the Junior and Senior Infants on Tuesday.
All the children took part in a whole school scavenger hunt around the school grounds and we took time to "Drop Everything and Dance" each day. Every class completed a walk around River Valley each day in the sunshine.
Ms. Corr co-ordinated Zumba dancing for all the first and second class children in the school hall and some teachers joined in too.
On Thursday, we had "Jersey Day" and all the children enjoyed ice pops outside on the grass.
We held an Active Week art competition this week. Congratulations to all the winners and winning pictures are displayed in the school hall.
